Waiting for Transplant - T minus 1 Day

Hello and Happy Easter,

Trudy and I pray that you have had a blessed Easter! We have had a fairly calm Easter Sunday. As an aside, and a modest complaint, there were few Christian services on the MDA network this morning. The MDA Protestant Chapel service was televised, though, for which we are appreciative. Trudy told everyone who came into the room that the great news of Easter is that we have a risen Savior and that her life now and for eternity is assured because He lives.

Here is a seasonal observation from Trudy. She really has felt really puny since the the ATG infusions of a couple of days ago...really some side effects with teeth. Well we know from the drug info sheets that they gave her, that this med is derived from ... rabbits! So, Trudy is particularly glad her faith is in the risen Christ...not some rabbit.

Well, in the morning, Trudy will finally have her introduction to "Mic" and "Juanito." We know that the infusion will take only an hour or two...but we also know that the good effect of the production of blood cells will take up to a couple of weeks. We simply but fervently pray that this process will go well and that Trudy will have no major health issues during this critical week or two.

Thanks for the many prayers. We are praying that Trudy will soon find relief from the sick feeling that has been with her for several days. She feels weak and has very little appetite and sleeps a lot and really doesn't want to do all the activity things that will help her long-term progress.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
