Transplant to Engraftment - Day 2

Hello Our Friends,

Another day closer to engraftment. I must say, though, if "a watched pot never boils," we are in for some long days of waiting. Whew! Trudy is a bit stronger today. Dr. Shpall said two important things to Trudy today. First, she told Trudy that each day out from her last chemo will bring more relief from the side effects. Today was indeed better than yesterday. Secondly, she told Trudy that she is the star patient up here for Cord Blood transplants. So, Trudy is well on schedule and she is doing as well as can be expected.

However, this is still a pretty yucky stage. Little energy and some "cabin fever." Hopefully in the next couple of days, Trudy will be well enough and strong enough to get outside the room and maybe even go to the floor's exercise class. So, lots of intermediate steps while staying clearly focused on the key prayer need of seeing those new stem cells get on to producing blood cells.

We appreciate you, blessings,
Trudy and Robert
