T2E-D17

Dear Family and Amigos,

Thank you God, for another day. "This is the day the Lord has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it." Today was the seventeenth day since transplant and Trudy is getting closer and closer to the day of engraftment.

Today was another quiet day where Trudy rested comfortably and a notable step forward was observed. Her kidneys have responded well the last 36 hours and we believe that is the first step toward improvement in her internal organs. We are thankful for the blessings that God has made today.

Thank you for praying for Trudy and her caregivers. Robert and Wendy are feeling rejuvenated and encouraged because of your prayers and Trudy is improving. Robert had to find a Dentist today. Wendy, helped him by finding an "app" on her IPhone that located a Dentist. Robert was able to walk right in and get a problem solved in a matter of minutes.

Trudy has had some special visitors today. Four men from Alpine and Bethel Churches came by and visited with Robert in the Family Waiting Room. Their concern and compassion was felt in a very special way. Next, Trudy's cousin, Nathalie came by. Her gentle love for her cousin Trudy was so neat to observe. Then, a super-duper treat showed up to greet "Pops" at the apartment...Grandchildren!!! That's is a good dose of medicine for sure. In fact, Daniel is helping his "Pops" write this blog entry right now. Kirk and the children will be here for a few days to see their mom and fix Chocolate Chip Pancakes for Pops.

We sure wish Trudy could see her grandchildren, but for now she will just know that a very special kind of love is surrounding her. We experienced that very same thing only last week when sweet Meredith was here. Puts a smile on Grandma's face for sure.

Please continue to believe with us in prayers to our Heavenly Father. May His great heart be moved to even more, shower His grace, mercy, and peace upon Trudy.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
