Waiting for Transplant_Countdown to Zero Hour_T-10 days

Hello Friends and Family,

We had a needed day to ourselves on this Friday in Houston. We had no appointments at MDA hospital for a change...and for the last time for the next few months.

Trudy did decide to do something pretty radical though...she went to the beauty shop and did on her own terms what the chemo inevitably would have done. That's right, she got a "haircut!" The picture is of her styling in her new scarf. Afterwards we were eating lunch when Dr. Giralt happened by, and he was so pleased to see her out and about and looking good.

Beyond that, we simply enjoyed being together, doing some needed shopping, and getting the laundry done. Trudy is at this moment, working on the final stages of a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. I think she will have it done in time to get a good nights sleep one more night before she spends many nights in a hospital bed.

Check-in time tomorrow is uncertain as we simply have to wait until admissions calls to tell her that they have a room ready. Until we get the word, we will busy ourselves with doing some Houston exploration.

Thanks again for the prayers. Trudy's cough is almost gone, but still pops up every so often. Needless to say, we pray that the cough totally evaporates before the chemo takes effect about the middle of this coming week. We enjoy so much reading your encouraging remarks.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert

P.S.: Please remember Trudy's family upon the death of her dear Uncle Sanford Manuel
