Waiting for Transplant-T-9 Days

Hello Friends and Family,

Just to let you know, Trudy is checked-in as an inpatient at MDA. She was admitted Saturday just after noon in a very smooth process.

MDA is about as patient-friendly as a hospital can get. All the nurses and other support staff have been great. One feature that we appreciate is that meals are ordered by the patient (and guest) whenever they want. Trudy has a nice menu selection available and whenever and as often as she wants, she picks up the phone and calls in her order. Within 30-45 minutes, it is delivered right to the bedside. No cost for the patient and a very reasonable charge for the guest. It is a nice feature for these cancer patients that makes the hospital stay just a little more bearable.

We expect to see her doctor sometime around mid-day, Sunday. He will then give the go-ahead to let the chemo begin. Trudy still has some cough concerns, but we expect that he will answer those concerns and ease our minds...and get the process started. Nevertheless, please join our prayer that the cough will go away.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
