OH, GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD

Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Hello Friends and Family,

We wish you the very best of Thanksgiving. Ever notice that Thanksgiving is the one holiday that hasn't been super commercialized? It is elegantly simple in its attention to giving "thanks" to God, gathering family, and the enjoyment of His blessings with a great time of feasting. Oh, of course there is the dreaded..."Black Friday" that follows, but...oh well...Thursday is a special time and we hope yours is the best ever.

Here is the latest update on Trudy. The early results of the Bone Marrow Biopsy have come in and they are okay, but with a few concerns. A portion of the platelets show some characteristics that have Dr. Koller's attention. We won't know if they are significant until the full report comes in...but essentially, this appears to be the same kind of thing that appeared at this time last year. Otherwise, she is feeling well and she is OFF of the Maintenance Protocol. Amazingly, she has undergone a full 30 months of the regiment of outpatient chemo and oral meds and constant trips to the office for labs. For now, the only prescription is to do a monthly lab, and quarterly check-ups with Dr. Koller, in Houston. It is both exhilarating and, frankly, a bit scary to be off the chemo and prednisone drugs. Exhilarating in that she can begin to recover from the constant side effects and sense of regiment. Scary or daunting in that in one fell swoop, she feels that she is not able to be proactive in the battle against Leukemia...an unprotected feeling.

Please pray that the deeper tests will reveal no further platelet or chromosome issues and the the Leukemia and all related issues will stay away. Also, as we pray, we are deeply thankful for God's presence and power in Trudy's life. To be where she is today in her health is truly our "Thanksgiving" praise.

Blessings, Trudy and Robert
