Another Step in Maintenance Protocol

Greetings to our Friends and Family,

Trudy began the 24th month of Maintenance Protocol on Monday. Six to go! As you recall, the first week of each cycle is the most difficult with side effects. The infusion of Vincristine has caused her to suffer with some painful muscle cramps and loss of feeling in her feet and toes. The mega-doses of Prednisone cause puffiness and soreness, especially for 48 hours after the final Friday dose. However, none of that discomfort stops this fighter...she continues to teach her students at Tioga H.S., enjoy her extended family, worship the Lord through her fine church family, and tend to her household. Amazing!

She returns to M. D. Anderson Hospital this Monday, for her 3 month appointments and Bone Marrow Biopsy procedure. We seek your prayer support for Trudy as she continues the journey...that she will continue to feel well, that the Leukemia and all related junk will stay away, and that her health will get stronger and stronger. Thanks so very much,

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
