Dreaded Predni"zone" Week - Part B

Hello Friends and Family,

Wanted to get an update to you...Trudy continues to aggressively attack the LOW counts in her blood chemistries and she continues to teach Chemistry and Physics to her students.

By Dr. "husband" and Dr. Koller orders, she has suspended the oral chemo meds until the low counts resolve. Dr. Koller suspicions that this could take a couple of weeks, while Dr. "husband" is more optimistic with a prediction that by tomorrow's labs, an increase will be evident. Trudy's energy level is better, she is sleeping well, and she is handling the predni-"zone" effects as well as ever. As always, Trudy is a marvel of determination and fight. She faces the rigors of the classroom because she has a great desire to do so. She approaches the task with confidence and a level of effort that belies the additional load of endless labs, doctor appointments, and very strong meds that are a constant reality for her. Dr. Koller emailed her yesterday: "Trudy, you have very lucky students." Amen!

Again, thanks for the prayers. We seek God for strong blood counts, improvement in strength and stamina . . . and that the Leukemia will stay away.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
