Dreaded Prednisone Week - Part A

Hello Dear Friends and Family,

Trudy is now into Month 15 of the Maintenance Protocol. As with the first five days of each of these cycles, she must tolerate mega-doses of Prednisone and its fearsome side-effects. This time, however, she must for the first time do so while maintaining her responsibilities as a full-time Chemistry and Physics teacher.

During these several days, she will hardly sleep, feel anxiety, achy, and puffy. Please join my prayers that God will help her manage all of these issues and get through these tough days. Also, the sudden increase in physical activity and stress level seems to have affected her blood chemistries. Please pray that we will be able to make the adjustments in her meds adequately enough to keep her White Bloods cells, Red Blood cells, and Platelets at or above the minimum needed levels. As of Monday's lab work, the WBC's and RBC's were a bit low, while the Platelets are beginning to come back up.

Thanks for checking-in and for your prayers for Trudy's health. We can't tell you how much that means to her. May she grow in strength, may her blood chemistries strengthen and stabilize, and may the Leukemia stay away.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
