Trudy's Blog Update

Hello From the Daniel's Den,

Sorry we haven't updated in a while . . . so, here we go.

Trudy and I celebrated her "one-year" mark with some special activities. We went to our favorite local restaurant (Cajun Landing). We said a special "thank-you" to our church family with a nice altar bouquet and some car/refrigerator "Cure Leukemia" magnets. Then we went down to New Orleans for a couple of days. We dined Thursday evening at "Arnuad's." Friday morning included a brisk walk in the outdoor French Market and breakfast at "Cafe du Monde." We browsed through the River Walk Mall where we ate lunch at a deli. Friday night we cashed-in Trudy's Valentine's Day gift to Robert by attending a New Orleans Hornets basketball game. Brian and Jess joined us (Thanks, Aunt Marcia for babysitting Meredith) and 17,000 other fans for an exciting game against a former New Orleans team, the Utah Jazz.

We left New Orleans after the game and drove to Prairieville, where we spent the night at the home of Kirk, Wendy, Daniel, Melanie, and Kara. We enjoyed being with them for a leisurely morning. After a "Birthday for Jess" lunch, we headed back to Tioga.

Unfortunately, Trudy came down with a pretty bad cough during the day on Sunday. She has not felt good all this week and has been on daily antibiotic and Neupogen treatments. Thursday, she had a regular appointment with Dr. Wold who feels that she will be feeling better real soon. Indeed, today she is feeling a bit better. In fact, we are about to head into Alexandria to take care of some errands and maybe even take in a movie.

We continue to pray for her ever-growing strength and of course, that the Leukemia will stay away.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert

P.S. Please pray for Robert's cousin Lindsey Daniel who will be getting a heart and both lungs transplant as soon as arrangements are ready.
