Oh Joy,
Today at 3:25PM, Meredith Honor Daniel made her grand debut. Weighing in at 7 lbs., 6.2 oz., and stretching to a full 19 1/2 inches, Meredith was greeted by her mom, Jessica, and dad, Brian in the maternity area of Baton Rouge General Hospital. Waiting anxiously nearby was her Aunt Wendy, Granddad Robert and Grandmother's Trudy and Charlotte. Her Granddad Roger, was stuck back in Houston but with almost constant cell phone communication, he was virtually there with us.
Trudy was beaming and Robert was "button-popping" proud to welcome our fourth grandchild!! We will be pleased to do our best in praying for God's richest blessings on her sweet life. Brian and Jess will be terrific parents and will have countless great times with this beautiful child. Pictures will follow as soon as we can upload them and put them on the blog.
God bless each of you. Thanks for praying for Trudy. Pray that she will find consistency in balancing the factors involved in the maintenance chemo, that she will continue to avoid the various "bugs" that are around, and that the Leukemia will stay away. Her next 28-day cycle starts this coming Monday.
