Great Weekend for Trudy

Greetings Friends and Family,

As mentioned in the last post, Trudy is feeling quite well and strong these days. You would have been amazed to see Trudy doing stuff around the house this weekend. She planted a few plats of Pansy's, she did housework, and she planned and prepared for a large dinner she hosted at our house! Way to go Trudy.

We had been searching for an appropriate way to express our thankfulness for our church family . . . who have been super supportive during the progression of events following Trudy's diagnosis. This weekend provided the perfect scenario. Our church had planned to make a short journey to Alexandria, LA, for a Sunday night Veteran's service out an outdoor amphitheater on the Red River. For this 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., event, the church chartered a 55 passenger bus. Trudy invited everyone to come by our house after the event for supper. It was great! We had a good number of our church family here, Wendy was able to come as did Trudy's Mom, Katy (sister) and Lloyd, Carlos (brother), and Alicia (niece) and her friend, Grady. What a special time it proved to be for Trudy and all of us.

These great times are so special and so treasured for us. Thanks for supporting Trudy with your prayers. Good days like these are very encouraging in helping Trudy know that she is making good progress in her battle. Please pray that she will feel well, feel encouraged, and that the Leukemia will stay away.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
