Going for a ride in a "Tin Lizzie"

Hello friends,

Trudy really enjoys these middle-to-late days of the 28-day cycle of Maintenance Chemo! She feels good and has some pep. Thank you Lord!

Yesterday we spent the day at the Colfax, LA, "Pecan Festival." They have a carnival, all kinds of booths, shows, and . . . a Parade. One of the members at our church lives close to the activities and we were able to attend their family get-together after the parade. We appreciated the friendly reception, the special parking and the delicious meal. Several in this family are real involved the parade, as they are in an Antique Tractor Club that has about 30 tractors of antique vintage as part of the parade.

One of the men not only rebuilds old tractors (John Deere machinery is his specialty), he also restores antique cars. His two most recent projects . . . a vintage 1926 Model T, and a 1928 Model A. He graciously took us for a spin . . . both cars! We really enjoyed our rides and wished our parents could have been with us. Thanks Bro. Bob, for the neat experience!

Please pray for Trudy to have even more of these great days, for her as she deals with the rough days, for the ever-present and tiresome vigil of being careful around people, and pray that the Leukemia stays away!

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
