Feeling Blessed

Hello Friends and Family,

"Feeling well and blessed." That's how Trudy signs her emails to Dr. Koller. I've included a quote at the end of this post that reflects Trudy's spiritual insight in her wonderful approach to the difficulties she has faced and the effort that continues.

Earlier today, we were in Houston for a check-up with Dr. Koller and the MDA Leukemia Team. Everything went smoothly and Trudy received an excellent report card from her fine care givers down at MDA, She has managed her maintenance protocol well and Dr. Koller said that we are now "experts." I don't feel like we know all that much compared to the true experts, but we are sure grateful for the great results. Trudy's labs are looking quite well and she is feeling stronger all the time. Between Dr. Koller at MDA, and Dr. Wold here in Alexandria, we are confident that we are being guided by the best anyone could ask for.

Maintenance chemo presents constant challenges . . . please pray that Trudy will keep all the facets in balance, that she will continue to feel well, grow stronger, and that the Leukemia will stay away. Thanks again for all the prayers.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert

"A simple switch in vocabulary in our family from “luck” to “blessed” triggered a profound difference in attitude. Before, our words had been idolatrous at worst, empty at best. Now we spoke truth and gratitude each time we recognized a special blessing in someone's life. Luck, after all, is arbitrary. Blessing comes from the deliberate hand of a good God.
