Whew . . . Getting Started on Course Four

Hello Friends and Family,

We had a very nice trip down to Houston. Trudy felt really well and ate some Texas Road House supper during the 4.5 hour trip. We arrived at our motel in time to relax watching some TV after which she slept quite well. Our morning appointments went well, we were able to visit with two other Louisiana families in for some treatments, and as anticipated, Dr. Koller gave the go-ahead for the admission and treatments.

Admission took awhile due to the lack of available rooms. Trudy got in her room at 7:00 PM. She is comfortable and as for her appetite . . . well, all I need tell you is that she is munching on "Apple Pie and Ice Cream" as we speak. We are mighty thankful for days of no pain and an appetite that allows her to feel like eating. The chemo will begin around 10:00PM and will be almost continuous through Thursday night or Friday morning.

Prayer requests are for the chemo to go well, especially regarding her kidney and liver functioning while on a drug called Methotrexate. Little or no side effects. Energy enough to get strength-building exercise. And . . . a room to become available that will allow the "spouse" to stay with her . . . even if it only includes a fold-out chair.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
