Wednesday Evening Update

Hello from M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. Trudy and I wanted to get this update for you, our wonderful support network, to let you know what is happening.

The photo is from Saturday, when the Trudy Daniel bunch was together again. We enjoyed having Brian and Wendy for the day so very much. We would have loved it all the more, if their families could have joined us for this very nice experience.

As Wendy's note expressed, we had a long day Monday. After her clinic visit, and admission, Trudy finally got to her room and almost immediately began Course Two. She had the highly uncomfortable and all-too-often repeated experience of a Bone Marrow Biopsy and Aspiration on Tuesday. The results made it worthwhile, though . . . the Leukemia cells are less than one percent! The chemo is working and she is right on target in the battle against this giant. Trudy receives three different chemo drugs during this Course. They are strong medicine with very difficult side effect possibilities. The treatments include a number of medicines that are to alleviate the worst parts of the side effects. Prayerfully, thankfully, she is tolerating the first two chemo drugs very well. In just a few minutes, the third chemo drug will arrive and be administered by IV over several hours. We pray that this drug will also be well-tolerated.

Thanks again for your prayers, love, and concern. Each kindness, each encouraging word, and each prayer means more than we can express.

Blessings,
Robert and Trudy
