I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, even though it felt more like Christmas outside. Mom decided it would be best if she stayed home but Dad said they had a great Easter service at Bethel. When Dad got home from church they packed up and headed back to Houston. Mom felt really good and the drive was comfortable, unlike the trip to Tioga last week. She enjoyed her week at home and felt better with each new day. On Saturday Brian and I drove up and spent the day with Mom and Dad. It has been awhile since it has been just the four of us together at home, it was a neet time. Dad and Brian went out and got Mom a treadmill so she can exercise without worrying about germs in public and the wig is just too hot to wear when she is working up a sweat.
Her blood work this afternoon indicated she is ready for round two. She will be admitted around 10PM and should get started right away. We are thankful that the infection has cleared up and that she has been able to enjoy these last few days. Join them in praying about were to go after this round is finished being administered. She can go straight home to Tioga or go back to the apartment in Houston until her counts come back up. Please be in prayer against the side effects that go with this treatment which are sores in the mouth and diahrea.
I want to say a special "Thank You" to the people of Bethel. It is unbelievable the love and support you are showing my parents during this time. I can not tell you how much it means to me. My parents share with me the different things you all have done for them and I am amazed and blessed. This could be a real burden but instead they rest well knowing that, not only is everything OK with the church, but they have your blessing to do whatever they need to do.
