Here's the Latest on Trudy

Hello Friends and Family,

Trudy has had quite a long day of it . . . but a good day at that! As is her practice on any day that allows, Trudy went to the Apartment Health Center this morning and did about 25-30 min. on the Treadmill. This afternoon, we went to the hospital and at the Outpatient Infusion Clinic, she received the last of this Course's chemo. It included a Lumbar Puncture (we think they used to call that a "Spinal") in which chemo is injected, and then some IV Chemo as well. We got there at 12:30 p.m., and did not leave until 6:30 p.m. . . .thus, a L-O-N-G day. While she is feeling pretty good, she is quite tired this evening. As you can imagine, after she does the necessary exercises (treadmill, etc.), the medications (pills, drops, injections, and liquids), and outpatient visits she can get pretty tired. She is a super trooper, and really tries hard to fight through the "chemo fatigue" to be cheerful and pleasant to her husband, to well-wishers, to the shuttle driver, doctors, nurses, and even to people who have to submit her to some pretty painful experiences. Trudy and I are learning more each day, to trust in the Lord, to embrace every good time, and to be thankful in all things.

Thanks again for checking in here at the Trudy Daniel Blog. I know Trudy would love to talk to every one of you . . . and I'm equally sure that in good time, she will . . . but, for now, your notes of encouragement are doing wonders.

I know all of us are praying for the folks impacted by the tragic events in Virginia today. Further, I'm sure that, like us, you are praying for many friends and family members. Friends, I can only affirm what you already have found to be true . . . Prayer is Powerful! We are humbled and thankful for your prayers.

Blessings,
Robert and Trudy
