Waiting for Transplant_T-7 Days

Dear Friends and Family,

Chemo is no picnic. Trudy tolerated the first chemo infusion well...but later, there were some uncomfortable side effects. Right as supper was arriving, the nausea started and she was not able to eat her stuffed shrimp. Bummer! Then, she had some leg and back spasms that lasted for about three hours. After about 1am, she was blessed with blissful sleep and awakened refreshed and feeling good.

The second chemo is just underway. It is called Thiotepa. All the usual side effect cautions are in play. A side effect prevention measure with Thiotepa is multiple showers to rinse away some toxic stuff that secrets through the skin. Trudy has had a good morning with breakfast, coffee, shower, and a couple of laps around the pod.

Many thanks for the many prayers. We continue to pray for the side effects to be light and manageable.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
