THANK YOU AND UPDATE

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Words cannot express the joy of seeing so many of you this past Sunday at the Main Street Community Center in Pineville, Louisiana. And even before that, the Tioga High School students, faculty, staff, and administration provided a day-long celebration (virtually) on Thursday. The gifts, cards, and well-wishes were humbling and awesome!!!

Trudy and Robert are in Houston, Texas, at the M. D. Anderson Hospital today through Thursday. Just to give you a brief update, today was labs and Bone Marrow Aspiration. We arrived at the hospital at 7:30 a.m., to start with labs. After that, there was a long wait in the BMA clinic. Trudy was finally through with that painful ordeal at about 1:00 p.m.. That's all she will get done for today. On Wednesday, we will be joined by Wendy and Katy to meet with the Stem Cell Transplant doctor and team. We anticipate that this will be the final "face-to-face" consult to insure that the procedure is a "go." After that meeting at 2:30 p.m., Wendy, Katy, and Robert will undergo some preliminary training on being Trudy's caregivers during the first three critical months of her recovery. We will meet with Dr. Koller on Thursday before heading home.

Again, thanks for all you have done over these days of bringing Trudy's school teaching career to a close! You have been a mighty encouragement to her. Please pray, especially on Wednesday, that we will have a clear sense of divine direction in the decisions...and the weight that they will bring to Trudy's mind, emotions, and spirit, as we take the next crucial steps in facing down this stem cell transplant giant.

We thank our great God for His mercies in bringing Trudy through the earlier giant of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, and we are certain that He will see her through in this procedure and recovery in the same miraculous fashion!

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
