GUSTAV - Part 1

Hello Friends and Family,

Trudy and Robert are glad to report that we and our home made it through Gustav's fierce winds. We did go to Tioga High School for refuge during the passing of the major winds. Our concern was that the two large old Oak trees and two large pines could fall towards our house. Thankfully, all four of those trees remain standing! We felt very secure and well treated at the school...with everyone looking out for Mrs. Daniel. About 6:30 this morning, I ventured down the street to our house and found everything secure, so we returned. We have a generator to help us through the next few days of power outages...we are blessed and we give our thanks to the good LORD.

We have talked to Wendy, Katy, and Trudy's mom. They, too, weathered the storm in fine fashion.

We are getting some pretty grim reports in from our surrounding community. One family that lives near us, returned to their home to find a tree had fallen on the house. Radio and TV broadcasts indicate that there are numerous downed power lines and trees and that the recovery process will be long and tedious. Please keep this area in your prayers as the needs begin to unfold over the next few hours and days.

As always, thanks for your prayers on behalf of Trudy. She is feeling well and fairly strong. We pray that her strength will continue to return and that her health will be good, and that the Leukemia will stay away.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
