Hello Prayer Partners,Here is Trudy and Kara at Robert's Cousin Judy's house in Titusville, FL, from our visit two weeks ago. Kara is just as darling as this picture and Trudy is positively radiant.
The "Infection Alert" status is better. Since her Friday evening release from the hospital, Trudy has had only one low-grade fever event and we pray those events will disappear all-together. The sores are gradually getting better and no new ones have appeared. She is back on her regular regimen of chemo drugs and the dreaded Prednisone, however...and so she is experiencing some side effects at this time. We anticipate these, along with some residual weakness from the bout with fever, will last through Thursday, when with the Lord's grace, she should get back to feeling well and regaining her strength.
Thanks so much for the prayers through these ups and downs that are so characteristic of the chemo. The "downs" are pretty unsettling but the "ups" are blessed times we never want to take for granted. Praying the fever and sores completely go away, the Leukemia stays away, and that her strength is fully restored.
