Colds . . . !!!

Hello again,

Thanks so much for checking-in here at Trudy's Blog. She is doing well and is nearing the point she might be able to describe as "routine." Here is the latest news on Trudy.

Trudy has her first "Cold" since the Leukemia was discovered back in February. First, we want to say, "Thank you Lord," for keeping such an illness (or worse) from her during the times in which she was vulnerable to a simple illness being a serious hospitalization. Still, we didn't know how she would respond, what with her immune system going through so many "lows." Blessedly, she has responded like before the Leukemia, and the cold is getting better.

Last week she got rid of the Picc Line and had a "Port" installed underneath the skin near her collar bone. Today, she had her first experience with this new mechanism. She had the one chemo that is IV delivered through the Port. It went okay, but there is some painful discomfort. Thankfully, this will only occur one day per month with the remainder of the chemo therapy coming in pill form.

Trudy was able to get all the Christmas decorations up and the tree decorated. I wish you could see how beautiful our home is for Christmas. Come by if you can, we would love to see you.

Please pray that Trudy will continue to tolerate the maintenance chemo and all the related factors . . . and as always . . . join us in praying that the Leukemia will stay away!

Merry Christmas blessings to each of you,
Trudy and Robert
