Maintenance Chemo beginning Month Two

Hello All,

Trudy started "Month Two" of the Maintenance Chemo, today. She had some difficult moments in the first month and a few adjustments were in order. Dr. Koller has told her that the first couple of months will include some adjustments in order to find just the right pace for her. But, basically, she has responded quite well.

She began the day with the taking of her oral medications that include some that are only for the first five days of each cycle. At "labs" the blood levels were a little on the low side, but still okay. Then she received her once a month IV chemo, which was well tolerated. Please pray that she will continue to do well during this month's treatments and that her energy level will improve.

Trudy had a terrific weekend . . . She accompanied Daughter-In-Law, Jessica, and Brody (her Welsh Corgi dog) to Monroe, LA, for a dog show. Brody placed FIRST in both his events and came home with Blue Ribbons and prizes. Way to go, Jessica and Brody! Sunday we were privileged to attend services at Fellowship Church in Prairieville, LA, where Kirk and Wendy Jones serve. This was the first time we were able to be in their brand new facility. It is stunningly impressive and I was blessed to officiate in a "Dedication Service" for our Granddaughter, Kara Jones. It was a long weekend for Trudy, but she paced herself well and enjoyed being with Wendy, Kirk, Daniel, Melanie, Kara, Brian, Jessica, Brody, my sister, Marcia, and Kirk's parents, Richard and Sue. We are constantly aware that only a few weeks ago, such travels and exposures to the environment were now allowed. We thank God for the blessings He has showered upon Trudy.

Blessings, and thanks again for the prayers,
Trudy and Robert
