Steady As She Goes

Trudy continues to improve in every area. Her WBC is 3.5 today. That is "infection-fighting" strength although it is still sluggish in getting to the 5.0 - 10.0 target range. The IV antibiotics have been removed and the docs feel that she will go home either Sunday or Monday. Prayerfully, she will improve in the WBC and Platelet counts by Sunday mornings labs.

Next week will be a time for Trudy to concentrate on regaining some weight and some strength. The anticipated time for her next chemo is Monday, June 18. She is already showing some improvement in these areas. She has been able to get a few more calories into her diet, and she walked 1/2 mile on Friday and plans to top that today. I can already see a difference!
