Good Lord's Day Morning

Hello and Thanks again for your prayers and concern!

Trudy had a pretty long night Friday. We went in for Platelets at 4:00 PM on Friday, and didn't get out till 10:30 AM on Saturday. As the earlier posts said, she had a reaction to the platelets and a Urinary Tract Infection working on her. She had the reaction in the Transfusion Unit and was there until 10P, then to X-Ray for almost an hour, then to the ER, where she spent the rest of the night. She had three CBCs during all this to keep track of her levels. The ER doctor decided that she needed some IV antibiotics and a unit of blood. After those things were done, she was discharged with some oral antibiotics.

The remainder of Saturday was quiet and pleasant. Trudy had a pretty good appetite and we dined at PapaSitos. After a good night of rest, Trudy arose feeling pretty good. We thought we would get out for breakfast and then go to church . . . but she started getting a bit weak after breakfast, so we felt that perhaps she needed to conserve her energy as the transfusions can only help just so far. She will rest a good bit the rest of today. Trudy is quite the Bible scholar these days . . . as she looks-up every verse that is on the blog, some that have been emailed, some that have been snail-mailed, and others she thinks about. There has been great encouragement in reading and meditating on God's Word.

Thanks again for all the prayers, concern, and love. Please pray that she will have a good day with no issues today. And for tomorrow, pray that her counts will be resolved with divine intervention, that Dr. Koller will have unique insight into Trudy's health needs, and that Trudy will be able to tolerate in excellent fashion, the treatments that she will undergo.

Blessings,
Trudy and Robert
