Trudy got the news we've been praying for . . . she is going to Louisiana! A pleasant surprise awaited us at the hospital clinic today, she got to see our great Dr. Koller (who had been out for several weeks). Additionally, he greeted us with a terrific report on Trudy's progress, orders to go home, and official orders for the next course of chemo to begin Monday at our home hospital in Alexandria.
Trudy has felt good and her strength has begun to return today. She was able to get one more mile out of the apartment health center's treadmill before bidding it adieu. She also did quite a lot of walking at the hospital. Thankfully too, her appetite has been very healthy these last couple of days.
Our plan is to work on cleaning and packing a bit tonight with a final flourish early in the morning. Then, we have to accomplish one final procedure at the hospital Infusion Clinic to insure her Picc line is ready for another round of chemo. Finally, we will point the Pontiac toward Louisiana.
Please pray for her procedure to go smoothly, for a safe journey home, and especially for this next round of chemo with Dr. Wold at Rapides General Hospital.
Thanks for everything,
Trudy and Robert Daniel
