Trudy here! I have been overwhelmed and so blessed by the many messages and calls of support and prayers and scripture. You've no idea how good it feels to know that so many people are praying for me. This weekend has been wonderful!! Kirk, Wendy, Daniel, Melanie & Kara came to Houston and spent all day Sat. and half of Sun. with us. Sat. was a gorgeous day that we filled with a picnic in a beautiful park, picture-taking, wig-buying, eating out and just plain enjoying each others company and making great memories. I can tell that I am just slightly weaker but certainly strong enough to enjoy those two days. Tomorrow, if just a few kinks get worked out, I will be admitted and begin the chemotherapy treatments. I'm determined to face this with the strength that the Lord gives me and your prayers, although I dread the pain. (I don't think I have ever been described as brave!)
