Blog "Z's" from Robert: March 24, 2007

Hello Everyone, here is Saturday's update from G1241 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Trudy is feeling better and all of the medical signs are doing better. She got very encouraging news from her "Bone Marrow Biopsy" from Thursday afternoon . . . the chemo is doing its job and the Leukemia is on the run!! PTL! Last night and today, Trudy had some really helpful medicine . . . Wendy came as a welcome reinforcement! Thanks Wendy. Robert, for the first time felt that he could leave for more than just a quick trip for supplies. He went to the apartment, washed clothes, linens, and towels. He did some cleaning and took care of picking up some necessities . . . knowing that Trudy was in great hands. Trudy really enjoyed Wendy's visit and her helpful loving touch.

Trudy has walked around the "pod" here on the 12th floor several times today, her voice and all systems are in the early stages of normalizing. She will continue to fight off this rather "mean" infection for the next few days, but she is encouraged to see significant progress. Please join us in praying that her blood cells and platelets will now recover from the first chemo to the levels that will allow her to begin the next round of chemo.

Blessings,
Robert and Trudy
