From Rapides General Hospital

Trudy still in hospital with infection of some sort. The good news is that Trudy doesn't feel all that bad. She is receiving IV antibiotics and is on a bland food diet that is helping her digestive system. Also, she still has occasional fever spikes. Her blood levels remain quite low and she is very susceptible to more difficult infections.

Her mood continues to be upbeat and she is working hard to do all that the doctor orders. Prayer needs: That her White Blood Cell counts will recover and show progress by her next lab report (Tuesday a.m.), that she will not become infected with any other bacteria or virus.

Trudy shared a great day with her sister, Katy, on Sunday. As they enjoyed each other's company, and Katy provided care and conversation as only a sister can, Robert was able to be in the pulpit at Bethel Baptist for both Sunday services. Also, we greatly appreciate being close to Trudy's mom. Mrs. Effie has been great and has provided times with Trudy as only a mother can. God truly has blessed Trudy with great help from her mother and sister . . . and great support from all of you and many others.

Thanks again for the thoughts, prayers, and the love you express on behalf of Trudy.
