Robert's Log, stardate 03092007:

Trudy continues to tolerate the chemo quite well . . . we are so thankful! Today, she had another first, a "Lumbar Puncture." They use a needle to withdraw spinal fluid and administer chemo. She was understandably anxious, but like the trooper she is, she flew through the procedure. This was done in her room and I was allowed to stay with her. Thankfully, I didn't trip over anything or say something at the wrong time! As well as things are going, we anticipate that she will complete the first of her eight cycles (or 12.5% - for my cousin Lindsey) on Monday.

I was blessed to see our great friends, Willis Prather, Raymond and Joan Futrell today. They brought us a "Care Package" from home that Trudy's sister, Katy had packed for us. We were grateful to receive the package and I enjoyed seeing friendly faces. Any min. now, we are anticipating a visit from Roger and Charlotte Whitten (Jessica, Brian's wife's parents). They have been so eager to support and we look forward to their visit.

Thanks for checking-in on Trudy's blog. And I simply can not tell you how much it means to her to read every post . . . every post. Please keep them and the prayers coming.

Robert

On the subject of visitation: Trudy can have visitors when her blood-counts are up enough. There will be ocassions when she will be in isolation. Even then, visitors can join me in the family room connected to her room and she can see and talk to you through a window.
