I got to experience first hand what a busy place MD Anderson can be this weekend. I talked to Mom at3PM and she had not even had time to take a nap yet today. She has been busy with doctors, walks and a trip down to the beauty salon. Her white blood cell count came back normal today!!! Those cells are back up and busy fighting that infection. She was introduced to a dermatologist that will help her get rid of some bothersome red sores. She said good bye to the physical therapist because they said "if you can walk around the unit 10 times you don't need us, keep up the good work!" An infectious disease doctor came by also as a result of the red sores. The hospital chaplain came by to pray with them and she expects to have a couple of more test run before the day is over. All be it busy, I feel like she is being given good attention and care.
Please continue to pray that Moms infection will go away. Pray that the swelling in her abdomen will go down. Pray that her liver will work properly and not be damaged. Pray that the pain in her shoulder will subside. Pray for her continued strength as she deals with the side effects i.e loss of hair, no appetite... Pray that the doctors can figure out what is causing the red sores. Thank God for the progress and improvements she is making!
It was wonderful to spend time with my mom this weekend, but it was so hard to see her like this. At the same time it was so refreshing to she her good attitude and determination. Between God, my dad and the hospital I take comfort knowing she is in the very best hands.
I want to thank those of you that have contributed to the benefit account. It is awesome to see God provide at such a time of need. I will just give the information again for anyone that did not get to read it the first time. There is a benefit account set up at Regions Bank for Mom. You can go in to any branch and ask to contribute to the Trudy Daniel benefit account. Thank you, we are getting close to our original goal! Again, any problems or questions you can contact me at wendy.jones@cox.net.
Thanks and God Bless, Wendy
