Today the doctor told my mom, Trudy Daniel, that she has Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia(ALL). As you can all imagine there are many thoughts and emotions to deal with with this kind of diagnosis. Thank God he is bigger than any old diagnosis. This comes as a shock to us all. If you were to see her today she looks just as beautiful and healthy as ever. She went in for a regular annual exam and her blood work came back abnormal. Her OB/GYN referred her to another doctor and he ordered a bone marrow test. It is from this test he was able to determine her low blood counts were caused by the Leukemia. All this took place in a weeks time. From here we have to wait for a treatment plan. She is being referred to a doctor at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. We are not sure when and where her treatment will begin at this point. We are hoping to be able to use this blog to keep everyone up to date. There are so many people that have expressed concern and want to follow moms progress and pray for her - what a testimony of the number of people she has touched and blessed with her life.
